In the online Udacity programming quizzes, I had a lot of difficulty just typing, as the text cursor ("|") "floated" several character widths ahead of the actual insertion point.

After piling up a lot of syntax errors, I figured out it's because I use a default 110% Text Zoom on all web pages (using the wonderful NoSquint Firefox extension). Setting the zoom for Udacity pages to 100% fixed the problem.
