I hate grades and numbers.

Some people with a PhD in computer science used the class to "refresh their knowledge" or "sharpen their pen" and end up in the top of the top top without too much effort.

Some other people without a mathematical/CS background worked like crazy to get 90% scores and they end up in the "top 25%" which looks like "just better then average".

Raw numbers mean nothing when they are not put into perspective but they give the feeling of truth. When your kid comes home with a 70% score where he/she used to have 30%, that's more then 200% progress and it's amazing. So the numbers we should look at are:

score = (final score) / (estimated score before taking class on the subject)

For example, if you had never seen anything on ai before and scored 80%, this would be

score = 80 / 20 = 4.0 !

And if you are a PhD in statistics or math with good prior exposure to ai:

score = 100 / 90 = 1.1 !

Kudos to all the people who do not have an academic degree and completed this class !

PS: Look at http://www.aiqus.com/questions/32182/googledoc-with-scores to see the background of other students should make you feel better (it did for me)...
